Element Technica's background includes design and innovation of many
products for Steadicam, stabilized aerial platforms, high speed camera
cars, deep water marine application, 3D photography and finally general
use- first unit photography. They are also regular contributors of
mechanical design solutions for groups like NASA's JPL and Lawrence
Livermore National Labs.
With the introduction of the RED One they recognized a genuinely disruptive
innovation in moving-image acquisition and have worked closely with RED to
bring light weight, bullet-proof solutions to the army of RED users.
This video break-out box
converts the RED One's mini-coax connectors to industry standard HD-SDI
BNC connectors in a tough, securely mounted package. It is low-profile and
routes video to the rear and gen-lock toward the bottom. The chromed knob
at the center of the unit actuates the four push/pull locking connectors
simultaneously for easy installation and removal. The camera-hugging tab
at the bottom utilizes one of the camera body's mounting holes for added
security.

The EVF Mounting System
provides a secure mounting interface on either style of top bracket as
well as 4" of vertical adjustment and 6" of telescoping adjustment along
the viewfinder axis. In addition to the linear adjustment, it also provides
a rugged clutch that allows the viewfinder to be tilted to almost any angle.
It will stay where you put it regardless of shooting environment. All
adjustments including clutch drag are easily adjusted on-the-fly without
tools.
***NOTE***
When the Element EVF tube mount is being used, the Element Handle Risers
are required for using the RED Handle Extension. The Red Handle can be
used in conjunction with the tube mount without the risers but the handle
extension cannot be used.

The Element
topside cheeseplate is designed to span the gap between the front and
rear top rod mounts. As its name implies it is covered in holes, both
1/4-20 and 3/8-16. The 1/4-20 holes utilize the same spacing as RED's
top mounts. The 3/8-16 holes are on Arri spacing and run along the top
and sides of the plate. It is compatible with both the 19mm top rod
mounts from RED as well as the 15mm top rod mounts from Element and
is a must have for low-mode Steadicam operation. Our cheese plate has
been tested with low-mode plates from Tiffen, PRO and Greg Bubb.

When two 15mm
top mounts are sold with our cheese plate we refer to this as a Topside
Combo and you save $160 off of their individual prices. These products
together give you 15mm iris rod mounting while making a round camera flat.
You also get the functionality of 1/4-20 threaded holes at RED spacing
interspersed with 3/8-16 threaded holes at Arri spacing along the top.

The Element
Technica Handle Risers have several purposes; They are precision machined
from aircraft grade aluminum and come with captive hardware that won't fall
out when they are removed from the camera. The handle risers place the RED
handle two inches higher, in a position similar to the Arri 435 and the
Panavision® Hollywood handle. They also allow the user to get a more
comfortable grip on the handle when using the Element Cheese Plate. When
the Element EVF tube mount is being used, the Handle Risers are required
for using the RED Handle Extension. The Red Handle can be used in
conjunction with the tube mount without the risers but the handle extension
cannot be used.

As an
alternative to our popular 2" (51mm) risers for the RED Handle and
extension, we have introduced a 3/4" (19mm) version. CNC machined from
aircraft grade aluminum they place the handle high enough to clear the
tubular clamp of our EVF Mount. They also provide additional clearance
between the handle and the top of the camera or the top of the
Cheeseplate. They come with custom stainless steel captive hardware.
Once installed, if you ever remove the handle from the camera the risers
and hardware will remain attached to the handle.

The Element
Technica Cheese Stick is a top handle designed for the RED One Camera.
It is precision machined from aircraft grade aluminum and attaches to
Element Technica 15mm Top Mounts, or Red 19mm Top Mounts. The Cheese
Stick has 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 holes running along the top, bottom, left,
and right side to allow for mounting accessories, as well as providing
mounting options for the camera itself. It also provides 2 inches of
clearance between the bottom of the handle and the Cheeseplate to allow
for a comfortable grip while carrying.
The Cheese Stick also features tubular clamps on both ends that can clamp
onto a rod or any other accessory that has a 15mm or 19mm outer diameter.
Each Cheese Stick comes with two 19mm to 15mm captive bushings that allow
the clamps to be used with 15mm accessories with the bushing, and 19mm
accessories without the bushing. This would allow for mounting lens
drive motors, monitor quick release spuds, and a number of other
accessories.

Element
Technica has created a companion product for our popular EVF Mount which
finally adds gear head and dolly functionality. Our eyepiece extension
lengthens the distance between our EVF Mount clutch and the EVF for the
RED One. It is fully compatible with the ARRI telescopic leveling rod and
allows the EVF to maintain a constant tilt angle even during extreme
tilting of the camera. Installation is tool-less and only takes seconds.
NOTE: The Element Technica EVF mount is required in order to use the
eyepiece extension.
